Edwin Paul Porter
Edwin Paul Porter, 91, passed away Thursday April 10, 2008, in Grand Prairie. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Homestead Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13 at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham.
Edwin was born June 8, 1916 in Bonham, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Grand Prairie and worked at Menasco as a tool specialist. He served in the Army during World War II. He loved being outside and visiting with friends and family. His family and friends will miss him.
His sons Timothy and Randall Porter preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Louise Porter; sons Charles Porter and wife Debbie of Grand Prairie, Don Porter and wife Pam of Trinidad; daughter Nancy Blakely of Keller; grandchildren Brent Porter and wife Misty, Alik McCoy, Kylee McCoy, Spencer McCoy, and Avery Blakely; two sisters Blanche Hunter of Bonham and Helen Sims of Richland Hills.
