Funeral Services for Burkett F. Yates, 90, Held at Needmore

Funeral services for Burkett F. (Grandpa) Yates, age 90 years, 11 months, 29 days, wrre held at the Baptist Church at Needmore Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with the Reverend W. D. Humphrey, Baptist paster, in charge.

Mr. Burket [sic] died Thursday night at his home at Yowell at 10:30 o'clock. He has resided at Yowell twenty-four years.

Surviving are three children as follows: Mrs. May Daulin of Childress; Mrs. Martha Brown of Yowell, and Jim Yates of Lela Lake, Texas, and a host of other relatives.

The deceased had a host of friends over this section. Interment was made at Dial, with the Odom Funeral Home in charge.
