NOBILITY - Funeral services for Mr. Andrew R. "Bud" Cowan, age 74, of Nobility, Texas will be held Monday, January 12, 1998 at 2 p.m. in Taylor Funeral Chapel with Rev. Glen Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at the Indian Creek Cemetery. Family will visit at the funeral home Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m.

Mr. Cowan was born August 22, 1923 in Nobility, the son of Bob Cowan and Lena Rivers Wheeler Cowan. Mr. Cowan died Friday, January 9, 1998 in the Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville, Tx.

He was retired from General Cable in Bonham, Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the West Shady Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Cowan married Oleta Morris on December 11, 1948 in Sulphur Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Oleta Cowan of the home; 1 son, Reggie Cowan of Leonard; 1 daughter, Peggy Hooper of Blue Ridge; 10 sisters, Mildred Rivette of Trenton, Johnsey Hendrick of Trenton, Judy Cowan of La Porte, Texas, Dorothy Mullins of San Jose, Calif., Patsy Hefley of La Porte, Texas, Betty Grounds of Princeton, Texas, Gean Meazell of Dallas, Linda Barker of Blue Ridge, Jackie Rocha of Midlothian and Barbara Dockery of Melissa; 4 grandchildren.
