Rehobeth Cemetery — View all Interments

This cemetery is in terrible condition. Gena's photos show the vandalism which had already occurred by 2002. In 2008, the grass is waist deep, the stones hard to locate. There are even reports of crypts open & bones scattered. The grass was too high & no bones were located in May 2008 when we were there. We've included some 2008 photos along with Gena's for comparison. Thanks to Steve Carberry and to Allen Rich for many of the 2008 photos.

Alan also wrote an article, "Gone But Not Forgotten" for his North Texas E-news about the deplorable state of this cemetery and that of Porter's Chapel Cemetery.

The Terry Cemetery was once thought to have grown together and merged with the Rehobeth Cemetery. We had even merged the two transcriptions. In Jan 2011, we learned that the Terry was, indeed, still a separate cemetery, near but not next to the Rehobeth. We have, once agian separated the interments and reported those buried at the Terry where they belong.
